At Waipa Dental we use the latest dental technology to provide care that’s precise, comfortable, and tailored to you.

Our innovative equipment allows us to detect issues early, plan treatments with accuracy, and make your visits smoother and more efficient.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

We utilise CBCT to provide highly detailed three - dimensional imaging of the teeth, jaws and surrounding structures. This advanced diagnostic tool goes beyond the limits of conventional two-dimensional X-rays, enabling us to visualise anatomy with exceptional accuracy and precision.

The Benefits of CBCT

Comprehensive imaging
CBCT captures the full structure of the teeth, bone, nerves and airways in a single scan.

Enhanced treatment planning
The 3D view allows us to plan procedures such as implant placement, wisdom tooth surgery, orthodontics and endodontic retreatment with confidence.

Improved diagnosis
Small fractures, infections, or areas of concern that may not appear on standard X-rays can often be clearly identified on a CBCT scan.

Predictable outcomes
By working with precise imaging, we can tailor treatment more effectively to each patient, improving comfort and results.

Patient Safety
CBCT technology delivers a focused, low dose radiation scan. The scan itself is quick and non-invasive, and we only recommend it when the additional detail is clinically necessary.

Operating Microscope

We use a state-of-the-art dental operating microscope to provide exceptional magnification and illumination during treatment. This advanced technology allows us to see teeth and surrounding structures in extraordinary detail, helping us perform even the most complex procedures with precision. It is particularly valuable in procedures such as endodontic retreatments, and complex restorative work.

The Benefits of the Microscope

Enhanced Precision
Magnified, high-resolution visualisation enables us to work with incredible accuracy, preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.

Improved Diagnosis
Fine cracks, hidden canals, and other subtle dental issues can be detected that may not be visible to the naked eye.

Advanced Treatment Outcomes
Particularly useful for procedures such as root canal retreatments, the microscope helps us deliver predictable and successful results.

Patient Comfort
By allowing minimally invasive techniques, we can often reduce discomfort and speed recovery.

TRIOS Intraoral Scanner

We use the Trios intraoral scanner to capture highly accurate digital impressions of your teeth and gums. This innovative technology replaces the need for traditional impression materials, making the process faster, more comfortable and more precise.

The Benefits of Trios Scanning

Comfortable experience
No trays, no messy impression material, and no gag reflex. A small hand scanner simply takes thousands of images in seconds to create a 3D model of your mouth.

Accuracy and detail
Digital impressions are extremely precise, which helps ensure that restorations such as crowns, bridges, implants and aligners fit perfectly.

Enhanced communication
The 3D scan can be viewed instantly on screen, allowing us to show you exactly what we see and explain your treatment options more clearly.

Efficient workflow
Digital files can be sent directly to our dental laboratories, reducing turnaround time and improving the quality of the final result.

EMS Airflow Guided Biofilm Therapy

We use the EMS Airflow system for advanced professional cleaning and maintenance. This technology uses a controlled stream of warm water, air and fine powder particles to gently remove biofilm, stains and soft deposits, while preserving natural tooth structure and implant surfaces.

The Benefits of the Airflow guided Biofilm Therapy

Gentle & Comfortable Cleaning
GBT uses a fine powder and water spray to remove biofilm and stains without scraping, discomfort, or sensitivity, making hygiene visits much more pleasant.

Precise Biofilm Removal
A plaque-disclosing agent highlights areas of bacteria, ensuring every spot is thoroughly cleaned, including hard-to-reach areas. It’s considered the best system for cleaning implants, protecting against peri-implant disease.

Visual Feedback & Education
Patients can see areas of concern highlighted by the disclosing dye, allowing our team to explain oral health clearly and show the impact of treatment.

Protects Gums & Periodontal Health
AirFlow removes bacteria below the gumline, helping to prevent and manage gum disease, reduce inflammation, and support long-term periodontal health.
