Night Guards and Mouthguards
Our teeth are strong, but they’re not indestructible. Grinding, clenching, and sports injuries can place a lot of stress on them over time. That’s where custom night guards and mouthguards come in.
Night Guard
A night guard is designed for people who grind or clench their teeth while they sleep (often without even realising it). Over time, grinding can wear down teeth, cause sensitivity, lead to headaches, or create tension in the jaw. A night guard sits comfortably over your teeth overnight and acts as a protective barrier, helping to reduce pressure and protect your teeth from further wear.
Mouthguard
A mouthguard is worn during sports and physical activities to help protect the teeth and jaws from injury. Sport-related accidents can happen quickly, and a properly fitted mouthguard can make a big difference in preventing chipped, broken or knocked-out teeth.
At Waipa Dental, our guards are custom-made using a digital scanner, which means we can create an accurate 3D model of your teeth without the need for traditional impressions. This allows us to design a guard that fits comfortably and provides reliable protection.
